While many states have approved medical marijuana and a handful have approved recreational marijuana use, it is still an illegal drug under federal law. Only a few states have passed legislation that says testing positive for medical marijuana can’t be used against you for employment. But that doesn’t mean you are allowed to smoke at work or work while under the influence. Anyway, challenging prospective employers’ rights to reject you for smoking pot isn’t a great way to start your job search. I’d roll over on this topic for now. Read more »
