As director of San Francisco’s Office of Cannabis, Nicole Elliott is helping shape the city’s regulations when it comes to cannabis sales. With California in January enacting Proposition 64, which legalized recreational use of marijuana, the city is the first in the U.S. to allow “consumption lounges” — six for recreational consumption and two for medical consumption — where guests can consume cannabis in a public space.
